ArPreservation uses phenolic lined steel pails and kegs to protect against insects and rodents. Argon gas is used to displace the air from between the dried foodstuffs so that all oxygen is eliminated prior to crimping on a lid with a special gas seal.
The argon gas is introduced at the bottom of the pail by a long stainless steel wand which is slowly withdrawn prior to crimping on the lid.
